Andy Andrews is one of my favorite authors and speakers. An exercise he recommends is to start your day by listing 10 things you are thankful for. I do this frequently and Andy is right. As you actually write down the things in life that you are thankful for, it's impossible to be anxious, worried or sad. Seemingly simple things like life, health, family, home, money, friends, clothing, food, pets, and freedom we often take for granted. If you break those 10 down into more specifics you can see how really blessed you are. Instead of a sense of lack, you now have a sense of prosperity because it is all about gratitude.
The person Andy uses in his book, The Traveler's Gift, to demonstrate the decision to be happy is Anne Frank. As we meet Anne in the annex where her family is hiding from the Nazis, she is excited about the sunshine she can see through a tiny bit of window. She is grateful for the meager food that is brought to her family. She is grateful for the love she experiences in her hideout. So we find ourselves thinking, if Anne Frank can find reasons to be grateful, certainly I can too.
Now let's take this idea of gratitude into the Law of Attraction arena. According to the Law of Attraction, we get more of whatever we give our attention, energy and focus to. So if you are giving your attention, energy and focus to the blessings in your life, you will receive more of these blessings. Isn't that a truly refreshing and uplifting thought?
Right now, write down at least 10 things that your are thankful for in your life. Don't you feel a greater sense of prosperity already? I certainly do every time I do this exercise. Our creator desires to give us good things out of the abundance in creation. You may be looking for better results in some area of your life. By being grateful for opportunites, people, and experiences, I have been able to take my life to a higher level of prosperity than I ever dreamed I could. You can too. Give me a call. Meanwhile, remember that prosperity is all about gratitude.

In Harmony with God
Ed and I were watching Depak Chopra's DVD on The Seven Laws of Spiritual Success tonight. This was definitely an hour well-spent. We both received new insights from this production. I first read Depak about 10 years ago and considered him a little bit "out there" for my tastes. Of course, that was then and now I'm a very different person. For one thing, I'm more spiritual as well as more open to the flow of new ideas into my consciousness. Because of various books I've read and decisions I've made, I think I'm more in harmony with God than I was before. This harmony contributes to our overall life of prosperity.
It seems that the more modern our society has become, the less time we have for quiet time to get in touch with who we really are. As long as we spend every waking moment "doing", there is no time for "being." I used to pride myself on being very time efficient. I could get more done in a day than most people I know. I would plan and orchestrate each activity to flow into the next. I felt like a time and motion study expert from a century ago. Now we call this multi-tasking. What is the end result? Is the world a better place because I polished my nails while watching a movie and talking on the phone with a good friend. The chances are good that none of the three activities had my full attention. My nails probably look like I polished them while blindfolded.
As we all know, personal development is a buzz word these days. Everyone is attempting to attract more of what they do want and less of what they don't want. The accomplishment of this requires us to sit back, relax, and focus on who we are and visualize achieving our goals. As we experience the emotion of this achievement, we raise our level of awareness to new heights. As we do these exercises, we also become aware of our true purpose in life. Our highest goal then is to fulfill the purpose we were created for. Depak ends his DVD by saying something like, When I leave this life I will have achieved what I was created to do and it will be enough.
Is this the path you are on today? Do you know your true purpose? Are you at peace with yourself and in harmony with God, your creator? I believe that simple is definitely better. Today I am so grateful to have the time and financial freedom to explore myself, identify my gifts, and use them to fulfill my purpose. I am eternally grateful for our life of prosperity.

Our Life of Prosperity
We are Ed and Sandra Hayes, living our life of prosperity in a place actually named Prosperity, South Carolina. We have been married for 30 years and raised two wonderful daughters. We relocated and built our dream home on Lake Murray in South Carolina in 2002. In many ways we are simple, average people. We always lived a middle class lifestyle, somewhat comfortable, but still not satisfied in the areas of time and money. We were constantly wanting to do more for others and have more for ourselves. We had pretty much resigned ourselves to the idea of working long hours until we could we could finally "retire" at age 62 or 65, or maybe even later.
This all changed 18 months ago when Ed was searching the internet for a business he could work from home. He was burned out with retail store management. Ed found Liberty League International and both he and Sandra saw the brilliance of this business immediately. Eventually Sandra left her job as a registered nurse to join Ed full time in this home based business.
We have travelled and met some truly wonderful people. We have more close friends in the Liberty League Community than we imagined was possible. After all, this is a direct sales business right? Aren't we in competition with each other? Not on your life. The basis of this business is that the more you help others succeed, the more success you achieve yourself. As for travel, we have been to Phoenix, Arizona, the Big Island of Hawaii, Cancun, Mexico, and Sydney, Australia. We have heard such speakers as Andy Andrews, Michael Losier, and Bob Proctor. And to top it off, we both actually walked on 1200 degree coals of fire in the Australian outback.
In a few weeks, we will be back in Cancun for another amazing Liberty Conference where we will grow as individuals and mastermind with old and new friends in the company. To top that, we are scheduled to attend a Summit Conference in Rome, Italy, in the spring of 2008. Who would have thought all this would result from a decision we made to step out on faith and join the thousands of people who have decided to take control of their own lives and income?
It is so exciting to wake up every day and not have to answer to anyone else but yourself and God. Our financial and time freedom allows us to minister to others, travel as much as we like, and spend time with those we love. We are not guaranteed tomorrow so we are choosing to live fully today. You are not reading this by accident. If any of this resonates with you, contact us. We will gladly share with you our business model and you can decide for yourself if you would like to live a life of prosperity as well.

Ed and Sandra Hayes
